 U.S. Rotax Max Challenge Grand Nationals, July 31-Aug.3  

Mooresville Motorplex (MMX) and the MAXSpeed Group have announced that MMX will be hosting the 2013 U.S. Rotax Max Challenge (RMC) Grand Nationals on July 31-Aug. 3 at their facility in Mooresville, N.C. 

The RMC is the largest karting program in the world and experiences growing participation in over 67 different countries, including the United States, each year. The RMC Grand Nationals are held once a year and the highest finishing drivers will form Team USA and compete internationally at the Grand Finals, which was held this year in Portimao, Portugal. Mooresville Motorplex is excited to host over 200 of the best karters in America for an event that holds such national and international significance.

 

World Karting Association Manufacturers Cup Season Finale, Sept, 27-29

Mooresville Motorplex (MMX) will host the World Karting Association (WKA) Manufacturers Cup Series’ season finale race on September 27-29, 2013 at their facility in Mooresville, N.C. 

The WKA’s 2013 Mazda/Bridgestone Manufacturers Cup Series schedule will kick-off, as always, at Daytona International Speedway Sprint Track. However, the Man Cup’s sixth and final race of the season will be at Mooresville Motorplex’s .7-mile track. Mooresville Motorplex expects the racing to be top notch as the best karters in the industry lay it all on the line in their final points race to determine the coveted WKA Manufacturers Cup Series 2013 Champions. 


 

United States Pro Kart Series, April 26-28

The United States Pro Kart Series (USPKS) will kick off their four weekend series featuring eight complete race events at Mooresville Motorplex on April 26-28, 2013.

The USPKS is America’s newest “super series.” They are committed to cultivating the growth of sprint karting by producing dynamic events, utilizing stable class and technical packages and providing rewarding prize packages to the racer.

The USPKS does enforce a testing ban rule that does not allow participants to practice at an event location the Monday through Thursday of the week that the USPKS event begins.



MMX Karting Challenge 

The MMX Karting Challenge is the Motorplex's in-house points championship for karters.The purpose of the series is to provide the karting enthusiast with the most affordable and exciting race program in the region.

The schedule for the 2013 MMX Karting Challenge will be as follows:

Stock Car Steel/SRI Championship Series

The Stock Car Steel/SRI Championship Series will run on Wednesday nights for five weeks from May 15 through June 19, with the exception of Wednesday, May 22. The series will take the May 22 date off for the running of the GoPro® Be a HERO Karting Challenge. The points championship will feature the TaG Senior and TaG Masters classes as well as a Light and Heavy division of rental kart racing using MMX’s fleet of Sodikart RT8 390cc karts, the newest and most advanced machines in the industry.
