Q:Where is Mooresville Motorplex located?

A:Mooresville Motorplex comprises over 30 acres off Mazeppa Road in Mooresville, NC located at 130 Motorplex Drive, Mooresville, NC 28115

Q:What will the Motorplex hours be?

A:Mooresville Motorplex will be open every day of the year except for a few holidays and when we have private events booked. The normal operating hours are as follows: Monday 12pm-8pm, Tuesday-Saturday 9am-8pm and Sunday 12pm to 6pm. Our Junior Rental Karts for drivers 48" and taller are available on Monday from 12pm-5pm and on Tuesday-Friday from 9am-5pm. Make sure you check our online events calendar for any private event closures.

Q:What kind of racing will there be at the Motorplex?

A:Mooresville Motorplex will offer some of the most exciting and accessible racing events anywhere in the U.S. MMX will host the U.S. Rotax Max Challenge Grand Nationals on July 31-Aug.3 and the WKA Manufacturers Cup season finale event on Sept. 27-29. MMX will also hold their in-house points championship, the MMX Karting Challenge, monthly beginning in March 2013. In addition, they will host a 5-week, Wednesday night points championship, the RACERSITES Cup.

Q:What does an MMX membership include?

A:An exclusive membership at Mooresville Motorplex is your ticket to the facility on every day of the year it is open. For $1,200/year, members can bring their own karts to utilize the track’s more than 200 annual practice days at no additional daily fee.

Q:Can I still bring my kart to drive if I’m not a member?

A:Of course! Every day MMX is open, non-members can practice their karts all day for a daily use fee of $60.

Q:What is the age requirement to drive an Arrive and Drive rental kart?

A:Do to the high rate of speed that our Adult Rental Karts can go, all drivers must be age 16 or older with a valid driver's license. To drive our Junior Rental Karts, drivers must be 48" or taller. If you own your own kart and plan to race at MMX, there is no age requirement which you must meet. Any drivers under the age of 18 must have a Minor Release Form signed by a parent or guardian.

Q:What does an Adult Arrive-and-Drive Rental Kart race include?

A:An Arrive-and-Drive rental kart race includes a neck collar and helmet rental. Each rental race lasts 10 minutes. 1/$25, 2/$45, 3/$65 and 10/$200.
